Engagements
What does KI AI Horizons actually do?
We are an applied-AI studio. We design and build custom automations, AI agents, document and data pipelines, voice and chat assistants, dashboards, and digital toolkits — then run them as a managed service. Everything is working software, scoped in writing, and integrated with the tools you already use.
How does an engagement start?
With a discovery call — a 60-minute working session where we map the workflow you want to fix and the outcome you're after. Within seventy-two hours you get a written scope: what we'll build, how it integrates, what it costs, and how it draws against your credit balance. No work starts before you sign it.
What's the turnaround?
Most first systems are live within a couple of weeks of a signed scope. We deliver in working increments — a live workflow, a deployed agent, a dashboard you can open — so you see progress as software, not status updates, the whole way through.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. Every system we build is yours — the code, the prompts, and the documentation to run it. We don't lock you into our tooling. If you ever want to take it fully in-house, you can.
Service Credits & billing
How does the credit balance work?
You fund any amount between $25 and $5,000. Every deliverable is already a line on the written Scope you signed at discovery — that scope is the pre-approval for every charge. The agreed price, with no separate platform fee on top, is drawn line-by-line as we ship. Your balance never expires, and the unused portion is fully refundable on request.
What is the Scope?
A one-document deliverable from discovery: every system, every deliverable, every estimated cost across the phase. You read it. You push back. You sign it. From that point forward, nothing hits your balance that isn't already a line on this scope — and anything outside the scope pings you for a one-tap approval before we build it.
When does a charge need my approval?
Three triggers: any work not on your signed scope, any change priced more than $20 above the original line, and any single charge over $250 — even when it is on the scope. Approvals are one tap on your phone. On-scope deliverables, recurring managed-operation charges, and small changes under $250 are autopilot. Nothing is unexpected.
How will the charge appear on my statement?
Every credit purchase appears on your statement as "KI AI HORIZONS." The line item reads "KI AI Horizons — Service Credit." The descriptor is consistent across every transaction.
Is there a client portal?
Yes. You see your credit balance, every charge with the deliverable it covers on its own line, and your active work queue. Portal access is free.
Can I cancel?
Yes. There's no contract and no cancellation fee. Your unused credit balance is refundable in full at any time.
Scope & limits
What kinds of systems do you build?

What won't you take on?
We don't take open-ended hourly retainers, we don't start build work before a written scope is agreed, and we don't take on systems we can't ship and support responsibly. If a request is outside what we can deliver well, we'll tell you up front.
Do you work with the tools we already use?
Yes — that's the default. We build on the platforms you already pay for and integrate with your existing stack. We don't mark up third-party subscriptions you hold directly.
Is there a cap on how much we can ship per month?
No hard cap. Work draws against your funded credit balance as it's delivered. Larger phases are scoped and funded up front; smaller ongoing work draws as it ships.
Data handling & the fine print
How do you handle our data?
We access only the data a system needs to do its job, and we build on infrastructure you control wherever possible. We don't sell or share your data, and we hand over the system — including its data handling — so you can audit exactly what it does.
Do you take referral commissions or vendor kickbacks?
No. We don't take referral commissions, vendor rebates, or any compensation from the platforms we build with. The fee on your dashboard is the only money we receive.
How are refunds handled?
Unused credit balance is refundable in full to your original payment method on written request, processed within ten business days. There are no questions and no penalty.
